Rapid Apps for Printed Electronics project offers key skills training in printed electronics in autumn 2017!

Julkaistu 11.09.2017

The Rapid Apps for Printed Electronics project organises three in-depth training courses on the principles and applications of printed electronics in autumn 2017 at the Oulu University of Applied Sciences. The aim of the Rapid Apps project is to promote printed electronics expertise in the Oulu region. The target groups are small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the area as well as RDI staff and teachers in public organisations.

The first course, Integrated Marketing Strategies in Printed Intelligence Technology-Enabled Consumer Products, will take place on 12.–13.10.2017. The intensive training introduces small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to ways to tackle the challenges in entering the global market with technology-enabled consumer products. The focus is on consumer products utilising printed intelligence.

The second course, Introduction to Screen Printing Technology for Electronic Manufacturing takes place on 6.–7.11.2017. The attendees are introduced to the basics of printed electronics. The course also offers practical hands-on training to screen printing technology for electronic manufacturing. New insight will be gained on the advancements of using printed electronics techniques with screen printing to create simple electronic devices.

The third course, Environmental sensoring, theme: Water, will take place on 30.11.–1.12.2017. The focus is on the potential of printed intelligence in environmental sensoring on natural waters. Printed intelligence techniques convey new materials that enable novel kinds of water on-site testing and environmental monitoring. The participants will gain skills in developing and measuring new on-site environmental testing.

The Rapid Apps for printed Electronics project is organised by the Oulu University of Applied Sciences. It is funded by the European Social Fund, the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centre), North Ostrobothnia, and the City of Oulu. The project is part of the PrintoCent community.
