Transportation Industry Breakthrough: Diffo Introduces Emission Reporting for Partial Loads and Individual Transports

Julkaistu 20.09.2023

Diffo is one of the first to publish emission reporting for partial loads and emission per shipment for individual transports, and now offers the service for free to its customers.

The European Union has gradually tightened emission reporting regulations for trucks during the last years. Already, major transportation companies must report the environmental impacts of their transports through emission reporting. In the future, an increasing number of customers want to know even the emission data for individual transports.

Diffo Solutions Ltd (Diffo) addresses this need by being one the first to introduce emission reporting for partial loads and individual transports to the market.

"This is a bigger breakthrough than we even realize. With requirements constantly tightening, we can proactively meet our customers' needs and want to offer our new release completely free for testing to our customers," says CEO Timo Pernu.

Diffo reports emissions based on EN 16258 and ISO 14083 standards, the GLEC framework, and the EURO emission classification of vehicles in the following way:

  • Well-to-Tank: Emissions generated from the oil source to the refueling station.
  • Tank-to-Wheel: Emissions generated from using the fuel.
  • Well-to-Wheel: Emissions that are the sum of the two previous emission categories.

Additionally, emissions are categorized into emission class categories based on Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3.

The emission reporting will be available for testing to all Diffo customers until the end of this year. Reports are automatically generated for the desired time period, and a variety of emission reports are available, including customer, route, vehicle, and driver-specific emission reports. The same report also displays the profitability of transport tasks.
