airBaltic presents its Summer 2027 flight programme – Oulu flights continue

The Latvian airline airBaltic has unveiled its summer 2027 flight schedule. Running from the end of March to the end of October 2027, the programme will continue to position Riga, Latvia as airBaltic’s primary hub. The Oulu–Riga route, which has been well received by passengers, is included in the schedule, and flights in both directions will continue four days a week.

airBaltic’s summer 2027 schedule has been optimised in line with the company’s revised business plan and demand-driven network strategy. The airline is focusing its operations on markets with the highest demand and revenue potential for business and leisure destinations, whilst increasing flight frequency to key destinations.

The flight programme includes an updated hub structure in Riga, which means optimised flight plans and connection times via the Latvian capital. This provides passengers with even more convenient options for transferring between different destinations within the airBaltic network.

– Our network is designed around the travel needs of our passengers and the markets we serve, with a strong selection of destinations for both business and leisure travel, says Mantas Vrubliauskas, VP Network Management at airBaltic.

– At the same time, we are increasing frequencies on a number of popular destinations, offering even greater flexibility and strengthening connectivity between the Baltic region and key destinations across our network, he continues.

Flights will continue to depart from Oulu early in the morning and arrive in Oulu late in the evening, enabling airBaltic to offer passengers the widest possible network of connecting flights. Flights from Oulu to Riga operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and from Riga to Oulu on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

– airBaltic’s decision to continue the Oulu route into the summer of 2027 is an important signal for us. The Riga hub provides Oulu with a direct connection to 56 other cities – particularly those in Central and Southern Europe, from which it has previously been difficult to travel to Oulu. The fact that the route will continue beyond the Capital of Culture year shows that Oulu’s international appeal is sustainable, not just tied to a specific event, says Y.T.
