The social and health care sector in the Oulu region is a strong and diverse sector comprising approximately 2,500 companies. In addition to local and regional operators, national companies also operate in our region. The largest operator is the Wellbeing Services County of North Ostrobothnia (Pohde).

The so-called SOTE sector covers healthcare, social work, and rehabilitation. Early childhood education is also part of the sector.
