You can find BusinessOulu’s employment services at BusinessAsema, and E-services on Job Market Finland (Työmarkkinatori). The BusinessAsema Service Desk provides advice and guidance on employment and business matters on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Uusikatu 52. You can also call 08 558 55810 for service.
BusinessAsema also has weekly pop-up services that anyone in Oulu can visit without an appointment, such as housing and financial advice.
If You Become Unemployed
If you are unemployed or laid off, register as a job seeker no later than on your first day of employment or layoff. The easiest way to register is through Job Market Finland (e-service only available in Finnish and Swedish). If online services are not accessible for you, you can visit BusinessAsema in person.
Together with an advisor, you will assess the services that best suit your situation, and you will receive support in matters related to employment and training. Your personal coach can provide you with more information on all employment-related issues. You can also book an appointment for remote advice.

Employment Services Are Part of Municipal Services
In Oulu, employment services are organized by BusinessOulu. We organise employment services together with Hailuoto, Ii, Kempele, Liminka, Lumijoki, Muhos, Pudasjärvi, Tyrnävä, Utajärvi and Vaala to form the Oulu Region Employment Area.
Through employment services, both individual and business customers receive guidance and counselling for job seeking, recruiting employees, and developing skills.
