Oulu is strengthening its international accessibility as Discover Airlines continues its year-round flights from Frankfurt to Oulu also in 2026. The airline offers two weekly flights on Mondays and Saturdays. In addition, from the end of May 2026 to the end of September, a third weekly route will be flown on Fridays, with the plane flying a triangular route: Frankfurt – Oulu – Kittilä – Frankfurt.
The flights have already been published and are available for booking through Discover Airlines’ sales channels. Discover Airlines, which operates the flights, considers the timing to be perfect for travellers.

And with Oulu serving as the European Capital of Culture in 2026, the timing couldn’t be better for travellers to discover the Finnish coast,” says Discover Airlines’ Commercial Director Marco Götz.
Better connections strengthen Oulu’s position as a tourist destination
Direct connections from Europe are a significant addition to Oulu’s appeal. The Capital of Culture year attracts tourists not only from Finland and Germany, but also from across Europe, making Oulu an even more accessible and interesting travel destination.
