Creative industries & Culture, online working life visit

The next event will be organized on the 5th May 2026. The visit in English takes place at 2.15 – 3 pm

The world’s biggest virtual company visit supports working life education and entrepreneurship education, while also strengthening collaboration between schools and companies without the need for travel to Oulu or any special arrangements. The event is produced by the Työn Taitajat working life program of the City of Oulu.

The participating companies are Fingersoft (gaming industry), LUO Architects (architecture), Kaleva Media (media and journalism), Kuulu (marketing), Wadessa (event production) and Whatever Pictures (television and film production).

Educational units to be visited are Educational Consortium OSAO, Oulu University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Oulu. Event partners include Oulu Innovation Alliance, International House Oulu, and Taikasatukulma.

English-language session of the World’s Biggest Virtual Company Visit focuses on career opportunities in the creative industries and culture in Oulu, Finland. During the program, participants visit companies operating in the creative industries, hear real career stories, and gain insight into the skills required in working life.

Participation

Participation is free of charge. The visit day will be held as a live webcast on the City of Oulu’s YouTube channel. A link to join the visit will be sent to registered participants before the event. Participants do not need a microphone or camera.
