Midnight Pitch Fest is an international 2-day pitching and start-up festival, which will bring together over 2000 participants including hundreds of Northern European start-up companies, investors, innovators, speakers and students. The festival takes place at Nallikari bay area, Oulu, June 12-13.
Midnight Pitch Fest provides something for everybody. Start-ups have a great chance to get visibility, pitch their ideas in front of wide range of investors and big audience and get direct access to investors through matchmaking services of the event. Respectively, international and national investors are able to assess at one go a large number of companies and business ideas as well as innovators on the large-scale Printed Intelligence hackathon sub event (PrintoCent Innofest). And of course, all attendees get a good opportunity to network with similar-minded people who have great business ideas, ‘can-do’ attitude and guts to follow it through.
The pitching start-up companies are currently lining up and they represent many business domains. The selection process by the MPF committee will favor companies, which have strong aspiration to grow with a scalable business model.
We’re currently signing in investors like DFJ Esprit (London, UK), Hoxtron Venture (London, UK), Balderton (London, UK), Essedel (Finland/Russia) and all top-notch Finnish investors. Last year’s event totaled over 50 investors, 70 pitching startups and well over 1200 visitors. The enthusiasm towards this event gave also birth to the MPF pre-event i.e. Polar Bear Pitching this February, which gained tremendous global interest due to the ice cool pitching spirit Oulu has.
Similarly to last year, there will be beach party with bands on the first evening. The festival will end with an award ceremony where the start-ups with best pitches will be announced to the public along with the PrintoCent InnoFest winners. To top the Friday the 13th offering, ZZ Top will be performing in Oulu.
