Finnish energy expertise presented in Astana

Finnish cost-efficient energy production and new ways of saving energy are being exhibited at the Finnish Energy Forum held in conjunction with Astana Expo 2017 on 15 August. Eleven Finnish companies and organisations participate in the event arranged by BusinessOulu, Planora and the Finnish Energy Club, an association of Finnish energy industry companies.

Among the speakers are representatives from the companies Pöyry, Oilon, and Planora as well as the technical research centre VTT. The topics deal with the Finnish energy model and how energy efficiency can be forwarded with expertise and various technological solutions. Also environmental effects are relevant issues in energy production, distribution and consumption. Finland has excellent experience in these entities along with products and solutions to be sold also to the Kazakhstan market.

The Finnish Business Hub operating in Astana provides the seminar’s participants also with opportunities to visit local energy companies and operators.

Oulu expertise is being showcased for example in the form of various energy solutions presented by Planora and VTT.

- Finnish energy production arouses interest all over the world. For example, our supply security and cost efficiency are issues around which the concept of an energy-efficient city is constucted and presented also in Astana, says Key Account Director Pasi Keinänen of BusinessOulu.
