Making Mobile Games

Are you interested in Game Industry, especially mobile games? Do you want to learn why the game genre matters so much in doing business? How to start with a small team and build a big game? If you are just a player, do not worry – that is the main thing in progressing in the field.

Five 45-minutes presentations by Joakim Achrén offer you the core of making mobile games. The presentations are targeted at everyone interested in the game industry in general or starting or doing business in the field.

Joakim is a games entrepreneur who has been building games startups since 2004. Joakim's first startup was called Ironstar Helsinki, and the company focused on mobile virtual worlds and eventually Facebook social games.

After Ironstar, Joakim joined Supercell in 2011 to run their analytics operations. He designed the analytics for both Hay Day and Clash of Clans, managing metrics related to player acquisition, engagement and monetization.

In 2013, Joakim founded Next Games, a Finnish mobile games company, which eventually IPOed on the NASDAQ First North stock exchange in March 2017. Joakim exited the company in March 2019 and is now a full-time advisor, lecturer and board member for mobile games companies.

Lectures are open for everybody and free of charge.
