VisitOulu participates in Sustainable Travel Finland program – leading the travel markets towards a more sustainable future
Climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic have further highlighted the need for sustainable travel practices to be implemented in the travel industry in order for it to survive in the future.
On 17–19 March, Oulu organised a virtual conference for the Eurocities’ Economic Development Forum with around 260 registered participants. A studio environment with multi-channel technology was built for this purpose at BusinessAsema, and mood inserts were streamed from different parts of Oulu with 5G smartphones.
The Eurocities network of large European cities is bringing together city developers to resolve issues related recovery from the coronavirus crisis.
Oulu-based Ginolis Ltd. and CELLINK AB from Sweden have entered into an agreement where CELLINK acquires 100 per cent of Ginolis shares.
The purchase orders are based on two framework agreements for years 2018–2022 and 2021–2024 with a total value of just under EUR 40 million.
