Global NFC Forum in Oulu, Finland, Aug 31 - Sep 4, 2009 - 27.05.2009
The international NFC (Near Field Communication) Forum will convene in Oulu in Fall 2009 for a week-long working conference. The NFC Forum will discuss the standardization and development of NFC technology, and new business models and opportunities to exploit the technology. The NFC forum includes the largest global ITC companies and organizations.
In December 2007, the City of Oulu became the first City and public sector entity to be accepted as a member to the NFC Forum thanks to the numerous and diverse NFC projects conducted in Oulu. The Forum has previously convened in Bangkok, Athens, Tokyo, and San Diego, for example.
