Nexamed delivers service portal for City of Tampere - 22.04.2010
The City of Tampere Kotitori service has expanded the management system for home help services supplied by Oulu-based Nexamed Oy into an electronic marketplace, eKotitori.

The service is based on Nexamed’s eKilpailutus software used in tendering processes. The portal allows customers to search for municipal services as well as for home help services provided by private companies, associations and foundations. Users can also search for service providers’ contact information and compare quality information and prices. The tendering, quality accreditation and contract management of service providers also take place electronically.

Nexamed Managing Director Veli-Matti Pietilä says that the service represents a new way of thinking in the field of public procurement and the process management of service production. “The prices and quality criteria of service providers are available to everyone and the prices are subject to change depending on the competitive situation, or demand and supply. This creates transparency and flexibility. The new act on public procurement, which is already going through Parliament, will include specifications of electronic auctioning and dynamic procurement.”

Provided by Mawell Care Oy, the City of Tampere Kotitori service helps senior citizens in their day-to-day chores by offering services that support coping at home. Service provider network management and resource planning take place using the eManagement system developed by Nexamed.
