LudoCraft brings innovation to learning through video game - 01.04.2010
LudoCraft, Oulu-based game studio and one of the key developers of open source virtual world platform realXtend, has created a video game aimed to guide on-the-job learning of vocational school students. The first edition of
Game Bridge video game, developed in collaboration with
Jyväskylä Vocational School and University of Jyväskylä, will be released on April 6, 2010, followed by a test period. The game is set to become available to public in the fall of 2010.
Game Bridge is a multiple player online game creating a work-like environment to explore. The players will complete different work tasks in groups of four or five in the virtual game world. By working in group, the players are offered an opportunity to foster their team work skills.
Game Bridge is primarily meant for use of vocational school students and teachers. In addition to that, the game can be applied in coaching and mentoring at workplaces.
