Research and education

Oulu is a true research hub. It is, for example, the home of VTT (Technical Research Centre of Finland), the biggest organisation of applied research in Northern Europe. Research is also conducted at the universities of Oulu, along with the diverse education provided in various disciplines. The educational offering is further complemented by vocational institutions and private education providers.
